BellSouth/Swainsboro Officials Announce High Speed DSL
and Fibre Optic Service for Swainsboro Community
"Swainsboro will be on the leading edge of technology." announced
State Representative Butch Parrish, at East Ga. College earlier today,
speaking about the new broadband service being installed by BellSouth in Swainsboro and theEmanuel County area.
  Among the speakers were BellSouth Georgia President Phil Jacobs, East Ga College President Jerry Ashcroft, Joint Development Authority President Jim Williams, Mayor Ricky Stevens and County Commissioner Keith Thompson.
  DSL will be available through BellSouth's FastAccess Internet Service to homes and businesses and a fibre optic loop will be available to those companies located in the new Technology Park.  The Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) will be available in April.
  Residential and small business customers can now request BellSouth FastAccess Internet Service at www.fastaccess.com or by calling 1-800-741-9951.
  BellSouth FastAccess Internet Service is available to residential customers for only $40.00 per month for unlimited usuage if they subscrbe to the BellSouth Complete Choice BellSouth Area Plus plans.   When purchased separetley, the service is $49.95 per month.  Residential Customers who order the service before April 1, 2001 will
recieve two months for the price of one and a free DSL modem with a 12-month service commitment.
  Business BellSouth FastAccess Internet Service DSL is only $55.00 per month for unlimited monthly usuage if customers also subscribe to the BellSouth Complete Choice for Business Plan.  When purchased separately, the service is $59.95 per month.  Business customers who order the service before April 1, 2001 will recieve a free DSL modem with a 12-month service commitment and a discounted instalation price of $150.00
